A concentrated extract of beneficial compounds produced by lactic acid bacteria during fermentation — not a probiotic, and not live bacteria. LACTIS takes a fundamentally different approach to gut flora support: rather than introducing external bacterial strains that may or may not be compatible with your existing microbiome, it delivers fermentation metabolites and cell body fragments that work with the bacteria already living inside you.
Manufactured by B&S Corporation, a Japanese company founded in 1914 that pioneered yogurt production in Japan and has spent over a century researching lactic acid bacteria. LACTIS is the result of that research — a postbiotic (biogenic) extract produced through a proprietary co-culture fermentation process.
Key Features
Postbiotic, not probiotic. Contains no live bacteria. Instead, LACTIS provides two types of beneficial components: metabolites generated during fermentation, and micro-fragments of bacterial cell bodies released during a 1-year maturation period. Because these are not living organisms, they are unaffected by heat or stomach acid.
16-strain co-culture fermentation. Sixteen carefully selected lactic acid bacteria strains are fermented simultaneously in soymilk using a proprietary symbiotic cultivation method (共棲培養法). This multi-strain co-fermentation achieves significantly higher bacterial density than conventional single-strain processes.
100% plant-derived. The soymilk base is made from domestically grown soybeans cultivated without chemical pesticides or fertilizers at B&S Corporation’s own farm near Mt. Fuji, Shizuoka Prefecture. The only other ingredients — citric acid and lactic acid — are also plant-derived.
Clean formula. Fragrance-free, colorant-free, preservative-free, caffeine-free. Zero fat, zero sugar, just 0.5 kcal per pack. Suitable for pregnant and nursing women, children, and the elderly.
GMP-certified production. Manufactured at B&S Corporation’s own GMP-certified facility (Health Food GMP) located near the company farm in Shizuoka, ensuring full traceability from soybean cultivation through final packaging.
How to Use
Take 1–2 packs per day. Add to water, tea, juice, or any beverage of your choice — hot or cold. LACTIS has a clean, slightly tart lemon-like flavor with no sweetness. Can also be taken straight from the pack.
